Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Mu Rho Omega, Chapter of Belle Glade, paused on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026, to celebrate 118 years of sisterhood. The worship service was held at St. John First Baptist Church in Belle Glade. We honored the vision, courage, and conviction of the pioneering women who imagined a sisterhood capable of changing the world.

Decades ago, our Founders stood at a crossroads of history. Driven by purpose and responsibility, they redefined their vision by founding an organization, establishing service programs, and events to empower women and create a supportive space for excellence in a realm that often sought to limit them.

We assembled to reflect on our history, built on the principle of “To be Supreme in Service to All Mankind.” Today, we continue to commemorate not just where we began but the thousands of lives transformed by their leadership. As we look to the future, may our sisterhood continue to soar and be committed to our mission.
