OKEECHOBEE — On February 14, 2026, the Okeechobee Narcotics Task Force, along with other members of the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office, concluded a narcotics investigation targeting 37-year-old Maurice Lorenzo Latham .
The Narcotics Task Force received information from confidential sources that Latham is distributing illegal narcotics within Florida including Okeechobee. Latham lives out of the county.
Latham was intercepted in Okeechobee where he was found to be in possession of 32 grams of MDPV, cocaine, and amphetamine pills. Latham arrived in Okeechobee to sell these illegal narcotics to an undercover detective.
Latham was accompanied by 41 year-old Anthony Paul Gordon, who was found to be in possession of MDPV and amphetamine pills as well.
Latham was arrested and transported to the Okeechobee County Jail for trafficking MDPV over 10 grams, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance to wit amphetamine and dextroamphetamine (schedule 2) with intent to sell, and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond will be set by the honorable Judge at first appearance.
Gordon was arrested and transported to the Okeechobee County Jail for possession of a controlled substance, to wit: amphetamine and dextroamphetamine (schedule 2), possession of MDPV, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond will be set by the Honorable Judge at first appearance.
