Trailways Camps offer a life enriching 4 day, 3 night overnight camp experience for adults with a wide range of special needs and respite for their caregivers. Campers enjoy a safe, inclusive environment filled with friendship, fun and personal growth.

Camp Sessions will be held at Riverside Retreat Center in LaBelle on Oct. 12-15, Nov. 16-19, 2026 and Ja. 25-28 and Feb. 22-25, 2027.  Registration for campers and volunteers is now open at www.trailwayscamps.org.  SAVE THE DATE for The Annual “I Am Special” Trailways Camper Reunion to which all past campers and their caregivers are invited. It is scheduled for April 3 with registration opening in January, 2027.

A wide range of activities are carefully adapted for all abilities and include guide-led horseback riding, fishing, hiking, arts and crafts, talent shows, spiritual experiences, music, dances, and performances from local entertainers and animal ambassadors.  Campers stay in the fully air-conditioned lodge with accessible accommodations; nourishing meals tailored to individual dietary needs with views of the beautiful Caloosahatchee River.  The Fishing Pier with ADA access ramp engages fishing participation.  A registered nurse and nighttime CNA are on site throughout the camp, with additional daytime CNAs providing personal care as needed to ensure the highest standard of comfort and safety.

While campers engage in meaningful and exciting activities, family caregivers enjoy 3 nights and 4 days of well deserved respite—a chance to rest and recharge with peace of mind.

There is a $75 registration fee, and scholarships are available. The majority of camp costs are generously covered through philanthropic support, making this transformative experience possible for all.
