CLEWISTON- Clewiston High School has announced that Pablo Sanchez is the next head coach of the Clewiston Tigers football team.

Sanchez has spent time as an assistant coach and defensive coordinator for the Tigers and will now step up to lead the program.

“When you look at Clewiston football, you see a rich history built on effort, tenacity, and hard-nosed winning football,” said Sanchez. “That tradition is not a slogan, it is the foundation we will continue to build on.”

Clewiston finished with a 4-7 record this season under former head coach Andrew Powell, while last year the Tigers finished with a 1-8 record.

“As a defensive coordinator I learned that true success comes from discipline, effort, and refusing to be out hit,” continued Sanchez. “That’s the standard we are bringing to this program on both sides of the ball starting today.”

Sanchez said that his vision for the Clewiston Tigers football program is for the team to be the most fundamentally sound squad on the field week-in and week-out, with players committed to excellence in the classroom, community, and on the field.
