OKEECHOBEE — Join us on Jan. 19 as we come together to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The event will begin at the Willie Alderman Baseball Field located at 424 NE 15th Ave. in Okeechobee.
Participants are asked to arrive starting at 8 a.m. The march will begin promptly at 8:45 a.m. and will be escorted by the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office from the baseball field through uptown to Flagler Park, then returning to Douglas Park.
Following the march, the MLK Day program, community activities, and the MLK Kickball Game will begin at 11 a.m. at the Willie Alderman Baseball Field.
This is a family-friendly event, and all children will eat for free. We look forward to celebrating unity, service, and community with everyone.
