WEST PALM BEACH — On Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025, teachers and supporters will rally for educators at the Palm Beach County School District complex on Forest Hill Boulevard, demanding competitive salary increases so educators can remain in or near the communities and students they serve. This action is in response to the district’s current offer that would cause teachers to fall even further behind inflation.
“The district needs to prioritize paying the professionals who meet students every day the same as any other operating cost, like electricity, transportation, and many other expenses,” said Palm Beach County Classroom Teachers Association President, Gordan Longhofer.
The district’s current salary offer of a 1.5% raise plus bonus money does not address the rising costs of housing, insurance, food, transportation, and so much more. “Our classrooms and students thrive when our teachers thrive,” added Longhofer. “Every student deserves a stable, supported, and highly effective teacher in front of them every day – not one stretched thin by economic stress.”
The rally for educators will begin at 4 p.m. outside the school district offices at 3300 Forest Hill Boulevard in West Palm Beach.
