WEST PALM BEACH — Dragons, mermaids and other legendary creatures will take center stage at the South Florida Fair in 2027 under the newly announced theme, “It’s a Mythical South Florida Fair.”

The theme will bring fantasy-inspired settings to the fairgrounds, from underwater realms and candlelit ruins to ancient forest groves. Guests will meet familiar figures such as dragons and mermaids, along with lesser-known creatures including the Qílín of China and Kinnaras of India.

Alongside the theme, fairgoers can expect the South Florida Fair’s traditional attractions, including rides, fried foods, daily parades, agricultural exhibits and live entertainment.

To build anticipation ahead of the fair, organizers are partnering with three local businesses to offer themed items from June 13-19. Each purchase will include a fair-themed sticker sheet.

Participating businesses include Art of Boba in West Palm Beach, offering a Dragon Fruit Slush; Anna Bakes in Wellington, offering a Birthday Batter Unicorn Cupcake; and Dope Vegan in West Palm Beach, offering Cherubim Fire Fries.

“This promotion gives people a fun way to connect with the 2027 theme before the fair opens while also shining a light on local businesses,” said Matt Wallsmith, president and CEO of the South Florida Fair.
