LABELLE — Riverlandings, a Florida luxury motorcoach enclave, broke ground on its expansion project Friday, May 8 at 10 a.m. at 5942 State Road 80 West, LaBelle. The new development expands the enclave with a restaurant complex, luxury townhomes and additional storage condos.
“This is an exciting thing for Hendry County, for the economy of Hendry County,” said Hendry County Commissioner Emory Howard. “I couldn’t think of a better place to put this.”
The multilevel restaurant complex will be open to the public. It will include a Skybar and dining area below, designed for a casual lunch stop in the afternoon and a finer dining experience in the evening.
“By expanding our capabilities, we hope to not only provide an exceptional experience for our residents, but to create a new center of activity within Hendry County,” said Riverlandings Founder Rick Smith. “This expansion will also provide local job opportunities in a variety of areas.”
The development was approved to begin construction after two years of planning. Its expected completion date is set for the first quarter of 2027.
