BELLE GLADE — Sugar Cane Growers Cooperative of Florida (SCGC) is proud to announce the promotion of Renee Pirtle, CPA to the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective October 1, 2025.
Renee has served as Vice President & Chief Accounting Officer at SCGC the last two years, providing executive leadership for Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Information Technology, and Supply Chain functions. Over nearly a decade of service, she has been instrumental in strengthening SCGC’s financial reliability, advancing enterprise-wide technology systems, and enhancing supply chain strategy to support business continuity and long-term sustainability.
“Renee’s leadership has contributed greatly to the execution of strategic initiatives and has helped to ensure the Cooperative’s financial health and operational resilience,” said CEO Matthew Hoffman. “Her promotion to CFO recognizes her deep financial expertise, her commitment to our member-growers, and her ability to lead cross-functional initiatives that drive our vision forward.”
As CFO, Renee will continue to oversee the Cooperative’s financial performance, banking and lending relationships, risk management, and strategic investments while advancing SCGC’s vision “to deliver the greatest value to our member-growers and employees by being an industry leader in all we do”.
Renee is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a graduate of the University of South Florida, where she earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Accountancy degrees. She is actively engaged in the community through leadership programs and professional associations, including the Florida Institute of CPAs and Lake Okeechobee Regional Economic Alliance.
