An 18-year-old Okeechobee man was killed in a three-vehicle accident on State Road 70 East on Friday night, Feb. 6 at approximately 10:15 p.m.

LAKE PLACID — An 18-year-old Okeechobee man was killed in a three-vehicle accident on State Road 70 East on Friday night, Feb. 6 at approximately 10:15 p.m.
According to information released by the Florida Highway Patrol, Vehicle one, a Ford F250, driven by a 19-year-old Saint Cloud man, was travelling east on State Road 70 approaching the intersection of County Road-721.
The second vehicle, a Ford F 150, driven by a 21-year-old Moore Haven man, was travelling west on State Road 70, east of County Road-721. This vehicle had two passengers. A 23-year-old Okeechobee man and a 24-year-old Okeechobee woman.
The third vehicle, a Ford Ranger, driven by an 18-year-old Okeechobee man, was travelling west on State Road 70, east of County Road-721, directly behind vehicle two.
Driver one attempted to turn vehicle one left at the intersection, directly in front of the approaching vehicle two.
Vehicle two hit vehicle one, and vehicle three then hit vehicle two.
All occupants were injured and transported to hospitals. The 18-year-old Okeechobee man was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The accident is under investigation.
Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Corporal C. Davidson is investigating the accident. Trooper Khang was first on the scene.
