CLEWISTON — The Clewiston Sugar Festival welcomed an estimated 23,000 attendees this year, marking one of the largest crowds in the event’s history and just shy of last year’s record of 25,000.
“The incredible turnout speaks volumes about the community’s love for country music, great food, and strong support for the men and women who produce our nation’s sugar,” said Julia DuPlooy, Chairwoman of the Clewiston Sugar Festival. “We’re proud to celebrate the people and traditions that make this region so special.”
Originally established to celebrate the end of the sugarcane harvest season, the Clewiston Sugar Festival has grown into one of South Florida’s premier country music and food events — while remaining deeply rooted in its agricultural heritage.
Planning is already underway for the 2027 festival.
