OKEECHOBEE — A local resident is working on a new approach to online safety that puts kids and families first, without relying on surveillance or selling personal data.
The idea is based on a simple question: what if safety and privacy had been built into the internet from the very beginning, instead of being added later as filters, monitoring tools, or warnings?
Rather than introducing a new app or tracking system, the concept focuses on creating clear boundaries online especially for children while keeping personal data owned by the individual, not companies.
The project is still in its early stages and is being shared now to start a broader conversation about how children experience the internet and how families can be better protected moving forward.
