LABELLE — It’s not every day you get to sit in class and learn from a wizard! Mrs. Maddox, one of LaBelle Middle School’s outstanding teachers, earned the first-ever WICOR Wizard recognition by modeling powerful AVID strategies — writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, and reading — for fellow educators right in her classroom. Why does this matter? Because when teachers sharpen their craft, scholars win. [Photo courtesy LaBelle Middle School]
