On July 30, Kiwanis Club had the pleasure of hearing from Mark Mayers, the Executive Director of Real Life Children’s Ranch (RLCR).
Each year we host an annual school supply drive for the RLCR. Due to the generosity of our members, we were able to raise $2,760 plus donate over $1,000 worth of supplies.
We have been hosting this drive for close to 30 years and are proud to be able to give this donation to such a wonderful foster community that makes such a difference in children’s lives.
Mr. Mayers shared they also work with at-risk families to help children stay in the home and the goal for the organization is to get children back to their families or into an adopted family.
Anyone who wants to support Real Life Children’s Ranch or tour the grounds, can find them at 7777 US 441 SE in Okeechobee. You can contact RLCR at 863-763-4242 or go to www.rlcr.org/
