LABELLE — Labelle Health and Rehabilitation Center, a Florida Health Care Association (FHCA) member nursing center, will be featured in the People Worth Caring About docuseries, an award-winning, national program showcasing the caregivers transforming lives throughout the nation.
In the heart of a rural community, caregivers at LaBelle Health and Rehabilitation Center go beyond clinical care, they care for neighbors.
“We’re proud to share our story of those who make a lasting difference in the lives of others,” said Adra Baldwin, Administrator at Labelle Health and Rehabilitation Center. “Caregiving is such a rewarding and meaningful profession, and we’re excited to share the impact it has on our community.”
Viewers will get to know the long-time Dietary Aide who serves lunch with a warm smile, and the passionate activities assistance who fills residents with laughter thanks to puppies, art projects, and outdoor ball games. Each moment reflects the center’s deep commitment to enriching the lives of residents.
Hosted by former CNA and filmmaker Peter Murphy Lewis, this latest installment in the docuseries will spotlight the LaBelle center’s dedicated staff alongside others across Florida, sharing powerful stories of compassion and connection in long term care.
“The only real way you can change somebody’s opinion in life is through a story. And that’s exactly what we did. Caregivers are not just CNAs; they are the architects who build and design memories for America’s seniors,” said Peter Murphy Lewis, creator and host. “These Florida heroes are building memories every single day. We’re honored to partner with FHCA to tell their stories.”
FHCA’s partnership with the People Worth Caring About docuseries will shine a light on the lives, dedication and humanity of Florida’s long term caregivers who provide essential, compassionate care to seniors and people with disabilities. The series will also aim to inspire the next generation to pursue careers in healthcare, showcasing the fulfilling nature of long term caregiving.
“Caregivers are the heart of long term care in Florida, defining what it means to deliver the gold standard of high-quality care for residents and their families. The compassionate connections we showcased at Labelle Health and Rehabilitation Center reflect what’s happening in care centers every day across our state,” said Emmett Reed, CEO, Florida Health Care Association.
The official Florida trailer will be available in July. This is the fourth installment of the docuseries, following the currently airing seasons featuring nursing centers in Nebraska, Ohio and New Mexico, with seasons highlighting Florida, Kentucky, and North Dakota slated to air in late 2026.
