The LaBelle Downtown Revitalization Corporation (LDRC) is proud to share that the historic Captain Francis A. Hendry House has been selected for the 2026 Florida’s 11 to Save list by the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation.

The Captain Francis A. Hendry House was nominated by LDRC as part of our ongoing efforts to support the preservation and future activation of this important historic property.

Florida’s 11 to Save program highlights endangered historic places across the state and helps bring awareness, advocacy, technical support, and preservation guidance to sites with significant cultural and community value.

This recognition is a major step forward for the Hendry House and for the future of historic preservation in LaBelle. It brings statewide attention to a place that tells an important part of our community’s story and strengthens the momentum already building around its future.
