Glades County Road Watch Report for week beginning Sept. 6

GLADES COUNTY — The following column is the Road Watch report for Glades County for the week beginning Sunday, Sept. 6, provided by the Florida Department of Transportation.

U.S. 27 from Old U.S. 27 Road to the Caloosahatchee River Bridge in Moore Haven: Maintenance project: Crews will perform shoulder repair operations in both directions on U.S. 27 between Old U.S. 27 Road and the Caloosahatchee River Bridge.

  • Daytime lane closures will occur on the inside northbound and southbound lanes while crews complete shoulder repair activities.
  • Only one direction will be closed at a time during work.
  • Motorists should use caution, watch for workers and equipment, and expect possible delays while traveling through the work zone.
  • Expected completion: September 30, 2026.
