CLEWISTON — As communities across the country commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States, Freedom 250FL is bringing the Florida Freedom Tour Mobile Florida History Museum to Clewiston for a one-day stop on Saturday, Aug. 1.

Like the Freedom 250 trucks that are showcasing America's history across the nation, the Florida Freedom Tour celebrates the Sunshine State's unique role in our country's story. Beginning May 1 and continuing through August 1, the tour features two repurposed 18-wheelers transformed into traveling museums, showcasing exhibits and artifacts from the Museum of Florida History in Tallahassee.

The Florida Freedom Tour will be located at the Clewiston Museum, where visitors are also invited to explore the museum's exhibits highlighting the history of Clewiston, Lake Okeechobee, and the surrounding communities. In honor of America's 250th anniversary, admission to the museum will be free throughout the event, and museum restrooms will be available for visitors. The museum will remain open for as long as the Mobile Museum is welcoming guests.

The public is invited to stop by, tour both museums, and take part in this once-in-a-generation celebration of America's 250th anniversary.

Freedom 250FL Mobile Museum will visit Saturday, Aug. 1, starting at 10 a.m. at the Clewiston Museum, 109 Central Avenue, Clewiston. Admission is free.
