Glades Central Raiders (7-0)
Glades Central pulled off a nail-biter in Belle Glade in their last game, edging out Bishop Verot 14-12 to remain undefeated. They rallied in the second half and held on as the Vikings made a late push. Next the Raiders host Sebring Blue Streaks on Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. in Belle Glade.
Pahokee Blue Devils (6-1)
The Pahokee Blue Devils shutout Forest Hill 40-0 last week. The Blue Devil defense had 8 sacks, with senior Antonio Simpson leading the team with 2.5. The win brings them to 6-1, with their one loss coming to Cardinal Newman. Next Pahokee is scheduled to face the Vero Beach Indians on Oct. 17 at 6:30 p.m. at home in Pahokee.
Moore Haven Terriers (3-3)
Moore Haven delivered a defensive gem, shutting out Somerset Academy South Homestead 28-0 at home. The defense recorded 2 interceptions and kept the opponent off balance all night. The win marked Moore Haven’s last home game of the season, as they’ll be on the road the next two games. Next, they travel to face the Trenton Tigers on Oct. 24, with kickoff at 7:30 p.m.
Okeechobee Brahmans (2-5)
The Okeechobee Brahmans scored a big district win against Port St. Lucie last week, winning 33-6. The Brahmans had two players rush for over 100 yards against the Jaguars, Isaias Williams and Ignacio Gomez. On Oct. 17, the Brahmans host the Bayside Bears in Okeechobee with kickoff at 7 p.m.
Glades Day Gators (2-6)
The Glades Day Gators fell to the Southwest Florida Christian Kings last week, 21-7. They are set to host another Fort Myers team, the Gateway Charter Christian Kings, at 7 p.m. on Oct. 17.
Clewiston Tigers (2-5)
The Clewiston Tigers grabbed a 42-32 road win over Oxbridge Academy on Oct. 10. The Tiger offense hit their stride, outscoring Oxbridge in the second half. They’re set to be on the road this week, heading to Fort Myers to take on the South Fort Myers Wolfpack at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 17.
