CLEWISTON — The Clewiston Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the hiring of Erin Drake as its new executive director. A longtime Clewiston resident and local business professional, Drake will lead the Chamber’s efforts to support local businesses, promote economic development, and strengthen Clewiston’s position as a thriving community for residents, visitors, and entrepreneurs.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as Executive Director of the Clewiston Chamber of Commerce,” Drake said. “Clewiston is a special community with hardworking business owners, dedicated civic leaders, and tremendous potential for future growth. I look forward to working alongside our members, local government officials, and community partners to advocate for the business community of America’s Sweetest Town and help ensure Clewiston remains a great place to live, work, and do business.”

Drake brings extensive experience in customer service, business development, risk management, and relationship building through her work in the insurance industry. As an insurance agent serving the Clewiston community, she has developed strong relationships with local businesses and residents while helping clients navigate complex challenges and identify solutions tailored to their needs. Her professional background includes business development, contract negotiation, marketing, client relations, and strategic planning.

In her new role, Drake will oversee the Chamber’s day-to-day operations and continue its mission of advocating for local businesses and fostering a positive economic environment throughout the Clewiston area.

In addition to serving as the leading advocate for local businesses, the Chamber coordinates the nationally recognized Raisin’ Cane Tours, which welcome approximately 12,000 visitors annually to learn firsthand about sugarcane production, vegetable farming, and the agricultural heritage that drives the local economy. The Chamber also works closely with elected officials, community organizations, and economic development partners to help foster a favorable business climate and support opportunities for continued growth and investment throughout the region.

Brannan Thomas, President of the Clewiston Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and Community Relations Director for U.S. Sugar, expressed confidence in Drake’s leadership.
