Letter to the Editor: CES gives back to the community

Posted

OKEECHOBEE — City Electric Supply in Okeechobee opened its doors in 1995 to supply electrical parts, lighting, receptacles, conduit, wire, and whatever else for new construction, remodeling, and repairs, helping electrical contractors and homeowners with their electrical supply needs.

City Electric Supply has been doing the same across the UK, the US, and Canada since 1951, with Thomas Mackie's vision to become the premier electric supply company. July 16, 2026, was the 75th Anniversary of the opening of the first store. This date became C.E.S.'s Founder's Day. And for Founder's Day this year, we wanted to give back to the community that has supported us all these years. So we implemented a local food drive to support Big Lake Missions Outreach, and in the picture above, this is what we collected and brought to Mrs. Mary Ann Swinford and Big Lake Missions. We know it will be utilized well. Thank you, Big Lake Missions Outreach, for all you do to provide for those in need in our community, and for allowing us to help.
