OKEECHOBEE — Making sure a child’s car seat is installed correctly is one of the most important steps in keeping them safe. Properly used car seats can reduce the risk of injury or death by up to 71 percent, yet many are installed incorrectly.
The Car Seat Safety Inspection Station is available the third Friday of every month. The next inspection will be held on Friday, March 20 at the More 2 Life Ministries, 551 NE 39th Blvd. To make an appointment, 772-462-3501. Appointments are required.
Certified technicians will check the car seat, make sure it fits the child properly, and answer questions so families can feel confident their child is riding safely.
If a car seat is needed, please let them know at the time the appointment is scheduled.
