Artist helps create relaxing space for correctional staff

Posted
OKEECHOBEE — Some of our older space recently received a much-needed update, including the creation of a dedicated break room for our correctional staff in an area that was previously used for storage. As part of that improvement, Mr. Jonathan Hunt generously volunteered his time and talent to create a mural for the space, alongside another individual who has since departed.
Once the mural was completed, it was noticed that Mr. Hunt had not signed his artwork—something every artist deserves the opportunity to do. In recognition of his contribution, Lt. John Rhoden and Sgt. Dory Sanchez invited Mr. Hunt back without revealing the purpose of the visit and surprised him with the request to sign his work, along with a letter of recognition and thanks for his artistic contribution.
Well done, sir, and thank you for helping make this space something special for our correctional staff.
