SOUTHWEST FLORIDA — With the federal government shutdown expected to pause SNAP benefits starting Nov. 1, the Area Agency on Aging for Southwest Florida (AAASWFL) is offering valuable assistance to older adults and caregivers with food access.
“We want older adults and their caregivers to know they are not alone,” said Sarah Gualco, Director of Programs and Planning at AAASWFL. “Our congregate dining sites and Helpline are here to support the community through this temporary disruption.”
