At Okeechobee Healthy Start Coalition, we believe that every expectant mother, every newborn, and every caregiver in Okeechobee deserves access to strong support systems. This means more home visits, more dads supported, more doulas in the field, and more connections made before and after birth.
Here’s what 2026 will bring:
Expanding the G.R.O.W. Doula program to reach 20% more expectant families
• Deepening our Home Visitation program to cover earlier enrollment and longer post-partum follow-up
• Growing our T.E.A.M. Dad programming to support dads, father-figures, and extended families
• Assist in bridging the gap of prenatal care via a Task Force on Rural Access to Maternal Care
