COLLIER COUNTY – Two Immokalee men were seriously injured in a traffic crash on Dec. 9 at 5:04 a.m. on State Road 82 near Gator Slough Lane, according to the Florida Highway Patrol report.
The FHP report states: Vehicle 1, a sedan driven by a 28-year-old Immokalee man was traveling east on State Road 82, west of Gator Slough Lane. A 15-year-old Immokalee girl was a passenger in the vehicle.
Vehicle 2, a sedan driven by a 61-year-old Immokalee man, was traveling west on State Road 82.
Vehicle 3, a sedan driven by a 36-year-old Immokalee man, was traveling west on State Road 82, behind Vehicle 2.
According to the FHP report, Vehicle 1 crossed the center line and the front left of Vehicle 1 collided with the left front of Vehicle 2. Vehicle 2 rotated and the right front of Vehicle 3 collided with the side of Vehicle 2. Vehicle 1 came to rest on the south shoulder of State Road 82. Vehicle 2 and Vehicle 3 came to rest in the area of collision.
The 28-year-old driver of Vehicle 1 was seriously injured and the passenger in that vehicle received minor injuries. The 61-year-old driver of Vehicle 2 was seriously injured. The 36-year-old driver of Vehicle 3 was not injured, the report states.
