WEST PALM BEACH — Constitutional Tax Collector Anne M. Gannon is pleased to offer commemorative lapel pins to Palm Beach County’s Vietnam veterans as a special recognition of the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War.
“It is my honor to recognize our veterans, especially as our country marks the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War,” said Gannon. “We must never forget their service and sacrifice.”
Designed by the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration, a program authorized by Congress, the lapel pins are available to anyone who served on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces between Nov. 1, 1955, and May 15, 1975, regardless of location.
Veterans may request a lapel pin by submitting a form online at www.pbctax.com. Family members may also request a lapel on behalf of a veteran. The lapel pin will be mailed along with Gannon’s personal note of thanks.
Gannon has partnered with the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles to make the pins available now through Veterans Day, Nov. 11.
