COLLIER COUNTY – The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate a two-vehicle head-on crash on SR 82, east of Corkscrew Road early on Friday morning, Sept. 25.

Troopers said numerous occupants were taken to local area hospitals, several as trauma.

SR 82 remained closed as of 9 a.m. Tow trucks are on scene and emergency responders are working hard to get the roadway back open. The crash occurred about halfway between Lehigh Acres and Immokalee.
