BELLE GLADE — A Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office press release stated at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Aug 20 a 2007 Honda Accord operated by Christina Miner, 33, of Belle Glade, was east bound on County Road 880. For unknown reasons the driver lost control of the Honda and drove off the roadway onto the south side grassy shoulder. The Honda rotated in a counter clockwise rotation down the embankment. As the Honda was traveling sideways down the embankment, it overturned one and a half times coming to a final rest on its roof.
PBSO reported a passenger 7-month-old Calani Blocker, of Belle Glade, was pronounced deceased on scene by Palm Beach Fire Rescue.
Ms. Miner and 29-year-old Shakira Johnson, of Belle Glade, were flown to St. Mary’s Medical Center with serious injuries. Camora Hutchins of Belle Glade suffer minor injuries.
