BELLE GLADE — The Oct. 7 unveiling of the new sign at Twenty-Mile Bend is a big deal for the Glades community! The Lake Okeechobee Regional Economic Alliance of Palm Beach County and local farmers have worked on this project for months, and Wednesday’s unveiling demonstrates how groups, people and organizations working collaboratively can accomplish great things for the community. The Guardians group is happy to be a part of LORE and the Glades community! Special thanks to the private landowner who permitted this beautiful sign that highlights the wonderful crops grown and harvested in the EAA to be placed on their property. These crops are grown and harvested in the EAA but ultimately feed the country. In addition, agriculture is a humming economic engine in Palm Beach County and the State of Florida.
