BELLE GLADE — The driver of a Freightliner died in a single vehicle crash on U.S. 27 on April 14.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle traffic crash at approximately 4:57 a.m. on April 14.
A 1997 Freightliner operated by Justo Rodriguez, 63, of Hialeah, was traveling northbound on U.S. 27 near the 1000 block.
The Freightliner drove off the right hand side of the road as he approached a left hand curve in the roadway. The front of the Freightliner struck a fence. The semi came to rest in a grassy area on the eastside of the roadway.
It is unknown why the Freightliner drove off the roadway.
PBSO reported Mr. Rodriguez was deceased at the scene.
