Families, seniors happy to take part in Thanksgiving giveaway

SOUTH BAY — Barbara King, who leads the KTM Youth and Community Network, was effusive in her praise and gratitude for an event the put on Monday, Nov. 23: the 2020 Thanksgiving Feeding/Food Bags & Gift Cards-Household items/Christmas Decorations/Children’s shoes GiveAway.

She posted on her Facebook page Monday night: “THANK YOU, Grassroots Consulting, Kings Catering, United States Sugar Corporation, Palm Beach County Food Bank/Project Thanksgiving and the Quantum Foundation for your generosity & support...

“THANK YOU to All Volunteers (Lynette Butts, Young Rude Kira & sister, Antonisha Boldin, Dorreon Christie, Quanisha Seymore, Mary Chapple, Precious Marshall, Darrius Pace, T.J. & wife Tee Swerve, Bep Williams — THANK YOU ALL for helping to feed 100+ families in the city of South Bay.

“Together Building A Better Community!”

Several folks chimed in on her post with pride and offers of future help in her efforts.

Tavonda Hanford-Tarver said: “I’m so proud of y’all and all you guys do for your community. ... If you ever need a helping hand... love you. And keep doing what you’re doing. I know many are very grateful.”
