CANAL POINT — FREE COVID-19 testing will be available on Saturday, Jan. 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Canal Point Baptist Church, 34061 First St. in Canal Point.
The first 125 to receive a COVID-19 test will receive a free bag of groceries. This event is open to all residents of the Glades. You do not need an appointment, and can walk or drive-up. This test is an oral test, not a nasal test, so they swab your mouth, and don’t touch your nose. You should receive your results within 24-48 hours.
This event is sponsored by Eat Better Live Better and the United Clinical Laboratory, in partnership with the Office of Community Revitalization.
