“This program provides our stakeholders with an opportunity to resolve their code enforcement issues and obtain a clear title that will allow them to refinance or sell their properties,” said Weinroth.
The county has over 1,000 outstanding code enforcement liens on residential and nonresidential properties who will be notified by mail and other means. The program will run from Oct. 1 to Nov. 30.
In order for a property owner/lienholder to participate in the program, the property must be in compliance with all county codes to have 100% of the outstanding lien balance forgiven. In addition to other conditions and/or requirements, the application needs to be filed before Nov. 30 with a nonrefundable $250 application fee.
