BELLE GLADE -- Nearly 80 volunteers turned out for the Keep Belle Glade Beautiful  community cleanup  on April 24 from  8 a.m. to noon.

"Close to 80 residents participated and more than 20,000 pounds of trash was picked up throughout the target area," shared Tammy Jackson-Moore  of Guardians of the Glades on Facebook.

"Joining the cleanup were the city’s mayor and city manager.

"Thanks to the City’s Public Works Department, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, members of various sororities and fraternities, the Boys & Girls Clubs, and Christ Fellowship. A huge thank you is extended to the sponsors that supported this worthwhile event that engaged the entire community," she added.
