BELLE GLADE — Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. recognizes National Caregivers Day annually. In November, Mu Rho Omega, the local chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, acknowledged some of the caregivers in the Glades communities who show support to loved ones by providing quality, compassionate care on a daily basis. Mu Rho Omega Chapter recognized seven caregivers during their Virtual Caregiver Appreciation ceremony.

During the virtual ceremony, chapter members praised the honorees with sincere words of appreciation. The honorees were provided with gift cards and awards to honor the important work they do for others. The following were presented with Certificates of Appreciation: Freddie Bass, Ann Govan, Johnathan Nicholson, Margaret Ransom, Mildred Ross, Terry Smith and Mattie Willis-King.

The chapter wishes to thank the Women’s Healthcare and Wellness Committee Chairman Ciera Thomas, Co-Chairman Sequoia Crawford and all those who attended the virtual event.
