St. Matthew’s House Thrift Store reopens in Immokalee. (Submitted photo/Travis Anderson)[/caption] St. Matthew’s House held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at their new location in Immokalee. The 6,000-square-foot building replaces their older building that was previously demolished at 630 Main Street West. “We are excited about the new store. The revenue from the store helps to fund the operation of the Immokalee Friendship House and other outreaches of Sgt. Matthew’s House” said Vann Ellison, President and CEO of St. Matthew’s House. The new location in Immokalee will employee nine individuals and adds to the number of services the non-profit operates in the southwest Florida area. The thrift stores located in Naples, Fort Myers, Immokalee, and Bonita Springs are augmented by a carwash, café, catering services, and the Port Labelle Inn and Conference Center.
