Mona Tanner once owned a salon in Immokalee before taking a long break to raise her children. She’s still been doing hair, maintaining a core clientele, and working with friends in their salons; but she says “the time felt right for me to up my game a little bit.”

Located at 283 S Bridge Street in LaBelle, Thairapy Sessions Hair and Nail Salon, is Mona’s answer to the call from within to up level.

“We’ve completely re-done everything in here. My signage is on the way, and we are going to be offering manicures and pedicures. I’m installing a pedicure station here.” Mona said with excitement as she showed me around her new space pointing out the renovations that she has done to make the bathroom handicap accessible and to create the atmosphere that she wanted.

The salon is painted with very cool grays and is complimented perfectly by a lovely subtle wood grain flooring that adds to the feeling of peaceful relaxation when you walk in. The walls adorned with romantic throw backs to old Hollywood with paintings of Marilyn Monroe and James Dean.

It was the overall feeling of spa-like zen that made me fully realize the genius of the name of the salon: “Thairapy Sessions”.

“We’ve had a lot of good feedback about the name and a lot of people have commented on how calming it is in here. In fact someone who saw the sign said they had come up but didn’t come in because they didn’t want to interrupt any therapy sessions!” Mona laughed.

Rounding out the three stylist crew including Mona, are her good friends Shanna Sanders and Sissi Pack. Dani Pack will be offering manicure and pedicure services (excluding acrylics) and eyebrow artistry.

“The atmosphere in here is so good. Shanna and Sissi and I get along so well.” Mona said about the working dynamic.

You can contact Thairapy Sessions at 863-674-1660 and they are located at 283 South Bridge Street unit 3 in LaBelle (same building as the Big Iron Barbell Gym).

Sessions with the thairapists are operating by appointments so feel free to stop in or call and schedule an appointment when the thairapists are in!
