Get your running shoes ready! Collier County Public Schools (CCPS) is hosting its annual 5K Walk-Run on Saturday, November 16. There is still time to register for the event, which will be held at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Administrative Center in Naples. All the Immokalee schools have teams in place, so be sure to choose your school’s team when registering. There are three options to choose from during registration.

1) Join the 5K Competitive Race! Your time will be tracked using chip technology and winners will be announced.

2) Maybe you’re not competitive, but still want to run the full distance. If so, sign up for the 5K Fun Run!

3) We also have an option for those with young children and strollers who want to participate alongside their CCPS Family. Choose the One-Mile Walk!

The school district is committed to promoting wellness, nutrition, and an active lifestyle. Supporting the 5K Walk-Run helps impact all 48,000 CCPS students, with 100% of the proceeds earmarked for each school’s health and wellness initiatives.

For more information, and to sign up, visit www.collierschools.com/ccps5k. You can also follow the event on social media using #CCPS5K. When posting, be sure to tag @collierschools and our event Power Sponsor, @suncoastcu.

We look forward to seeing you and your CCPS Family on the track Saturday, November 16!
