Micro-Hospital unveiling event planned in Ave Maria

NAPLES - Ave Maria Development and Braden Clinic announce a Healthcare Technology Showcase & Micro-Hospital Innovation Center Unveiling Event to be held on Monday, March 18 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Ave Maria Town Center. The event is free and open to the public and will feature announcements on the new Braden Hospital as well as a Healthcare Technology Showcase including the following partners of the new Braden Hospital: Hill-Rom, Aspen Surgical, Trumpf Medical, Arthrex, Inc., Liko, Witt Rock, NurseCall, Welch-Allyn, and Philips Healthcare. The showcase will be held from 3:00pm to 4:30pm with speakers and announcements from 4:30pm to 5:00pm.

Dr. Beau Braden, founder of Braden Clinic and the new proposed Braden Hospital in Ave Maria, will announce development updates for the hospital and unveil hospital partnerships which will bring cutting-edge technology with the most advanced equipment and processes available today in micro-hospitals. Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart and Collier County Commissioner Bill McDaniel are featured speakers.

“We are building the most advanced micro-hospital in the United States,” states Dr. Beau Braden. “The Braden Hospital will feature proprietary, leading-edge technology that will serve as a blueprint for future micro-hospitals in the United States.”

The Healthcare Technology Showcase will introduce the public to brand-new services and devices to be highlighted in the Braden Hospital. Hill-Rom, a major healthcare company which designs hospital beds, will be showcasing the most advanced hospital bed technology in the world featuring beds which can automatically turn patients, adjust to a patient’s weight, prevent a patient from falling out of bed, lift a patient to a standing position, effectively eliminate bed sores, and communicate with the patients care team. On display will be the Hill-Rom ICU bed “The Progressa,, Med-Surg Bed the “Centralla,, ED Trauma Stretcher, Labor and Delivery bed and the “Affinity 4.”

Aspen Surgical, Trumpf Medical, and Arthrex will be displaying the technology used in Operating Rooms around the country including a Mock OR which will feature OR booms, ICU booms, operating tables, and associated systems which currently are still in development that will be utilized in the Braden Hospital. Liko will have patient lifts and will demonstrate how Braden Hospital nurses will never lift or adjust a patient “by hand” which will effectively eliminate nursing injuries and patients being dropped on the floor. Witt Rock will demonstrate how headwalls integrate with technology. NurseCall for Hill-Rom will demonstrate the capabilities of a system that relays information from the patient, the hospital room, and the patient’s bed seamlessly to the charting system and to the patient’s care team predicting challenges before they happen and providing an interface for technology to communicate. Welch-Allyn will showcase the latest innovations in monitoring systems which interface with charting systems providing live vital signs throughout the Braden Hospital allowing providers to be kept in the loop of a patient’s status in real time. Philips Healthcare will display patient monitors, EPIQ Ultrasound System, IQON CT MACHINE, AMBITION MRI information and Philips Ambient Experience team will demonstrate an interactive virtual reality exhibit.
