Saturday, November 20, Humanity of Collier County, in partnership with La Ley FM 92.1 Radio, awarded the winning family their prizes, including the $1,000 down payment for their new home. The contest, called “La Ley Brings a Family Home for the Holidays” allowed four Habitat Collier pre-approved families to compete via Facebook likes to win the grand prize. La Ley disc jockeys adopted a family and filmed a video of the family members telling the public why they need a Habitat-constructed home. The family with the most votes, in the form of Facebook “likes,” won the grand prize. Check out www.facebook.com/laley921fm to see the videos.
