Florida Community Bank Financial Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: FCB), is proud to become a corporate sponsor of “Taste of Immokalee”, a benefit corporation with a mission to provide “hands-on” experience for young community members in all aspects of business, with a focus on social entrepreneurship, to give back to the community of Immokalee. FCB will host a ceremony to present the corporate sponsorship check of $20,000 at their Immokalee banking center on Wednesday, February 1 at 2:30 p.m. In attendance will be members of “Taste of Immokalee”, including Taste of Immokalee Board Chair Reid Carpenter, Board members Steve Stolz, Guy Blanchette and John Lawson, Director Marie Capita and participating students. Director of Finance Jim Mitchell; Branch Manager, Vice President Luis Cartagena; and Senior Vice President, CRA Officer Nancy Merolla will attend on behalf of FCB. Taste of Immokalee is a company created by students with the help of the One by One Leadership Foundation. To promote their community’s contribution to the food chain and help sustain future outreach to those in need, the students created a new food line called “Taste of Immokalee”. After exploring the impact of food on the cultural and nutritional needs of their community, the students created original spices, salsas and sauces using local vegetables and fruits from the Immokalee area. “Florida Community Bank is committed to becoming an integral partner in the communities we live and serve,” said Kent Ellert, President and CEO of Florida Community Bank. “We are proud to become a corporate sponsor of Taste of Immokalee and look forward to seeing their future advancements in the local community.” Immokalee, which means “my home” in Seminole, is located in the northern Collier County along Florida State Road 29. Home to many immigrant and migrant families who work the field under harsh conditions, the area produces cucumbers, bell peppers, citrus, and about 90% of the nation’s tomatoes that are harvested during the winter months. Florida Community Bank invites local residents and FCB customers to join the check presentation ceremony at their Immokalee banking center located at 1400 N 15th St, Immokalee, FL 34142 on Wednesday, February 1 at 2:30 p.m. For more information, visit FloridaCommunityBank.com About Florida Community Bank Florida Community Bank (NYSE: FCB) is the third largest Florida-based independent bank, and among the most highly capitalized banks in the state.
