From left to right: Clay Howard, Clint Raulerson, Buck Lee, and Preston Stokes lead the cattle around Schuman’s Curve toward Roberts Ranch in Immokalee.[/caption] Residents from all over southwest Florida lined Main Street to catch a glimpse of what an old-fashioned cattle drive through town might have looked like years ago. Starting out near Jack and Ann’s Feed & Supply, cattle were led along Main Street up to Roberts Avenue and onto the property at Roberts Ranch with the help of several riders on horseback and their cattle dogs. The cattle drive was led by Eastern Indian Rodeo Association Sr. Queen Ms. Allegra Billie, Eastern Indian Rodeo Association Jr. Queen Ms. Madisyn Osceola, and Miss Rodeo Palm Beach County Caleigh Anderson. Additionally, the drive was accompanied by Clint Raulerson, a well known rancher, author, family man and coach. Once at Roberts Ranch, visitors were welcomed to wander about and take a look at some of the antique cars on display thanks to the Cool Cruisers car club or try their luck at a cake walk. Coconut Point Ford brought out one of their new Ford F150 trucks while food vendors offered up some of their local favorites. Danny Gonzalez with the Immokalee Chamber of Commerce said “This is a great thing for Immokalee to have and I want to see us come together and do this year after year.” The weekend-long event brought with it dancing, clogging, arts and crafts, along with live entertainment. The event was organized by the Immokalee Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the Roberts Ranch Pioneer Museum, Collier County Parks & Recreation, and the Immokalee Community Redevelopment Agency. County Commissioner Bill McDaniel and other local dignitaries welcomed the attendees and thanked the sponsors which included Coconut Point Ford, Lipman Family Farms, Spin City DJ, and Track to Trail Thoroughbreds.
