Okeechobee Arrest Report

The following individuals were arrested on felony or driving under the influence (DUI) charges by the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO), the Okeechobee City Police Department (OCPD), the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), the Department of Corrections (DOC), Criminal Action Team (CAT) or the Okeechobee Narcotics Task Force (ONTF).

  • Pedro Juan Espada Vasquez, 72, Southeast 25th Street, was arrested Oct. 23 by OCSO Deputy L. Merlino and charged with five counts possession of ammunition by a convicted felon and two counts possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Bond was set at $70,000.
  • Evan Sabin, 43, Southeast 26th Lane, was arrested Oct. 28 by OCSO Deputy J. Bunting and charged with tampering in a misdemeanor proceeding, battery, false imprisonment and 56 counts violation of pre-trial release for domestic violence. Bond was set at $180,000.
  • Victoria Garcia was arrested Oct. 30 and charged with aggravated child abuse.
  • Zackery Knight, 37. State Road 78 West, was arrested Oct. 26 by OCSO Deputy M. Cauley and charged with driving without a license and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Bond was set at $5,500.
  • Andres Mercado was charged with false imprisonment, child abuse and two counts battery.
  • Baldemar X Rodriguez, 30, Northwest 36th Avenue was arrested Oct. 16 by OCSO Deputy A. Hull and charged with DUI. Bond was set at $1,000.
