CLEWISTON -- On June 13, local American Red Cross Disaster Action Team volunteers responded a home fire on U.S. 27 in Clewiston.
In total, Red Cross volunteers helped people by offering emergency financial assistance, health and mental health services, and recovery support.
Disaster Action Team is a group of local, specially trained, Red Cross volunteer responders, who are ready to take action in these emergencies who are on call 24/7, 365 days a year, to provide comfort, care, and critical resources to families facing emergencies. All Red Cross disaster assistance is free of charge, a gift made possible by generous donations to the Red Cross.
