Coaches Brent Burnside, Russ Bell, and Scott Anderson led the mighty Broncos to a hard-fought winning 5-3 season. At the end of the season, the team was rewarded with the opportunity to attend a Webber Int. football game.

The team was able to meet the Webber players and coaches on the field prior to the game as well as witness the Warriors play their last home game on Senior Day.

LaBelle Middle School would like to thank Suncoast Federal Credit Union for their support and donation that made the purchase of our new red uniforms possible.

Broncos Volleyball

Tyson Frantz and Beth Lutkenhaus coached both and A and B team at LMS. “A” team reached a 7-7 record while the “B” team finished with a 4-10 season.

They were a great group of girls that worked hard all season to improve their skills. We are very proud of them and wish the 8th graders the best of luck at the next level.

Broncos Basketball

Coached by Kevin Lutkenhaus and Maurice McClain, the Broncos Boys Basketball team ended the season 5-7. This team saw some boys come in with limited experience.

However, the level of growth was obvious by the year’s end. The team consisted of Jon’Anthony Simmons, Micheal Ceballo, Dillion White, Alex DeLaCruz, Doug Sharpe, Noah Garza, Boe Walker, Tony Vasquez, Colton Bass and Trace Burchard.

Broncos Girls Basketball

The girls were coached again this year by Keith Cottrell who was assisted by Rick Pena. This powerhouse team succeeded in a 10-2 season filled with neck-and-neck battles and a few blow-outs.

Many of these girls have played for LMS throughout middle school and are expected to go on to even greater success as they move into high school.

Broncos Boys Soccer

Coach Cynthia Cerda and Coach Jesus F. Karr led the Boys’ Soccer team to their second straight undefeated year of 6-0.

We are all very proud of the hardworking group of young men – eleven of which move on to high school next year. We are excited to see what they bring to the LHS field.

Broncos Girls Soccer

Coach Cynthia Cerda and Coach Jesus F. Karr also coached the Girls’ Soccer team who finished with a 4-4 record.

Two of those victories were over the LHS JV girls’ team. We’ll be in for a fight next year, though, as the girls also have eleven players moving up to the next level.

Both soccer teams would like to thank the LaBelle’s Hendry County Recreation Board for providing us with use of Longhorn Field at Davis Pratt where we played all season. We couldn’t have been so successful without their support and cooperation!

Broncos Cheerleading

This year our new Athletic Director Ashley Corbitt coached both seasons of cheerleading, with LHS student Taylor Alexander volunteering as her junior assistant coach.

They supported the Bronco teams at all the home games for the football and basketball teams.

They even made an appearance cheering on our soccer teams! Their dedication and team spirit always brings a fun and encouraging vibe to the field and court. Go Broncos!
