The Cowboys Varsity Football Team lost to district rival Bishop Verot 34-16 this past Friday night after a promising first half of play (More at http://www.news-press.com/story/sports/high-school/football/2015/09/25/verot-pulls-away-nd-half-labelle/72846612/). Coach Chris Siner: “We had our chances against Verot, just had too many penalties at bad times. We moved the ball well, Tray Williams had 200 yards and a Touchdown but in the end it was not enough. For us to beat Gateway Charter this week we will have to be more balanced on offense and play better on defense.”

This loss drops the Cowboys to 1-1 in the district and 2-3 overall. The Cowboys will travel to Gateway Charter this upcoming Friday night for a must-win district rivalry game.

The Cowboys JV Football Team beat Fort Myers 17-8 this past Thursday to improve their record to 2-1, beating Bishop Verot and only losing to Clewiston in their home opener.
