Inspirations Art Show 2017

The Arts of the Inland art show “Inspirations” celebrated its artists on Friday, March 3rd at the Barron Park House Gallery. The show featured original paintings, photography, and mixed media pieces which were judged by Alliance of the Arts (Fort Myers) Instructor Leo Johnson. Johnson said “This was one of the hardest shows I’ve ever judged.” The winners were annouced in two categories: Photography and Painting, and then a Best in Show in each category.

The awards were given to: First Place Photography - Addison W Austin for her piece “Utah Sunrise” Second Place Photography - Miranda Davis for her piece “Calm Before the Storm” Third Place Photography - Heather Green for her piece “Panther Mom and Kittens” Honorable Mentions - Anne Rasmussen, Anthony Narehood, and Miranda Davis. Best in Show Photography - Heather Green for her piece “Freisen Horse” First Place Painting - Marty Lonnon for “Ibis at Sunrise” Second Place Painting - Lisa Gunter for “Spring” Third Place Painting - Penny Fox for “Vision” Honorable Mentions - Connie Killebrew, Diana Carkin, Joan Benner Best in Show - Shannon Holland for “Zen Fish” The Barron Park House Gallery and Gift Shop is located at 471 Lee Street, in LaBelle and is open Thursday-Sunday from 12 p.m.-5 p.m.
