Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Sebring Field Office, assisted by the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office arrested Bubba O’Connor, 42, and Wendy Soucier, 49, both of Lehigh Acres, on Wednesday, August 10. The pair have been charged with murder, attempted second degree murder and armed robbery.
Investigators believe that O’Conner and Soucier traveled to the home of Cherry Ermine, 72, and Frank Jansson, 69, of Hendry County on August 6, 2016 with the intent to obtain money. O’Connor and Soucier confronted the homeowners, Ermine and Jansson, and an altercation ensued. Ms. Ermine was killed and Mr. Jansson received life threatening injuries.
O’Connor and Soucier were booked into the Hendry County Jail without bond.
