MOORE HAVEN – Early voting for the Aug. 18 primary election in Glades County opens Aug. 8 and continues through Aug. 15. Early voting will be 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Supervisor of Elections Office, 998 U.S. Highway 27 S (rear entrance).
On Aug. 18, Election Day voting will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at designated polling locations.
The Glades County Commission District 4 race is a universal primary. Candidates are Linda Cisneros, Tarik Kose and Hattie Taylor.
Circuit Judge 20th Judicial Circuit Group 19 candidates are: Vera Bergemann and James Stewart.
Circuit Judge 20th Judicial Circuit Group 20 candidates are Ryan Kuhl and Amanda Levy-Reis.
Glades County School Board District 1 candidates are Angie Woodward Hough and Anita Thielen Sauls.
Glades County School Board District 5 candidates are Patricia Pearce and Lauren V. Thompson.
Voters in Precinct 3 only will vote in the Moore Haven City Council race. Three seats are on the ballot and voters may choose up to three candidates. Candidates are: Alisha Beck, Gary D. Blake, Jacob Eighner, Timothy Jones and Nate Kelly Jr.
